Campbell family of Randolph Co. NC

First Generation

Laughlin Campbell is said to have been born in 1711. He died on 22 Jan 1791 in Randolph Co. NC, and left a will written in June, 1786. His wife Ann had died 22 Mar 1786, so this may have replaced an earlier will in which she was named.

Does anyone have proof of Ann's maiden name? and was she the mother of his children? Some sites name their mother as Mary McFarland.

The will names these children and also mentions his brother Alexander Campbell.

Second Generation

Child of Malcolm Campbell
Isaac Campbell (1781-1825) m. Susannah, maiden name unknown

This is NOT the Isaac Campbell who was born about 1804 and married Nancy Williams in 1827. But was this younger Isaac the son of Isaac and Susannah?

Third Generation

Child of Isaac and Susannah Campbell
Lucinda "Cinderella" Campbell (1816-1876) m. J. Kingsbury Allred (1814-1878)

In 1850 Susanna Campbell age 60 is living in Chatham County NC with Alfred and Priscilla (Campbell) Ingold. In 1860 she is still with Priscilla, who is now head of household, in the eastern division of Randolph County. I suspect this is Isaac's widow - can anyone confirm?

Alfred Ingold and Priscilla Campbell married in Orange Co. NC in 1846. My guess is that Priscilla is Isaac and Susanna's daughter.
